Job Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects, including planning, execution, resource allocation, budget control, stakeholder management, quality assurance, safety compliance, testing, commissioning, and successful project handover within approved timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Lead end-to-end execution of ground-mounted solar PV projects.
Develop project execution plans, schedules, and construction strategies.
Monitor project progress against approved milestones.
Ensure timely completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Project Management
Manage project budgets and cost control.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
Review project schedules, progress reports, and resource allocation.
Site & Construction Management
Supervise civil, structural, electrical, transmission line, and substation interface activities.
Ensure proper execution of foundations, MMS erection, module installation, inverter stations, transformers, HT/LT cabling, and switchyards.
Monitor contractor productivity and site performance.
Ensure availability of manpower, equipment, and materials.
Client Management
Conduct regular review meetings with clients.
Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Coordinate with DISCOM, CEIG, SLDC, and other government authorities for approvals and project synchronization.
Quality Assurance & Safety
Ensure compliance with EPC contracts, project specifications, and statutory requirements.
Implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) and HSE standards.
Promote a strong safety culture across project sites.
Minimize quality deviations and safety incidents.
Commercial & Contract Management
Monitor project costs, claims, variations, and change orders.
Review contractor bills and vendor invoices.
Maintain project profitability through effective commercial management.
Support procurement and vendor evaluation activities.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
Lead testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization.
Ensure closure of punch points and documentation.
Facilitate successful project handover to clients and O&M teams.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have:
10–12 years of EPC project execution experience.
Minimum 8 years in utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects.
Proven track record of delivering projects with a cumulative capacity of 500 MW or more.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
