Job Summary
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing pharmaceutical product development projects for the domestic market, ensuring timely execution from feasibility assessment to dossier submission. The role involves coordination with R&D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, procurement, quality, and commercial teams to support the development of compliant, cost-effective, and market-ready pharmaceutical formulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development and Project Management
- Conduct technical and commercial feasibility assessments for new product proposals.
- Define, monitor, and track project timelines using EPM/EPMS tools.
- Coordinate the procurement of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, standards, and impurity reference materials with the Purchase team.
- Finalize cost-related requirements for bioequivalence and bioavailability studies, considering cost, method availability, and criticality.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and variance analyses for business heads.
- Lead regulatory submissions and ensure timely responses to regulatory queries.
- Conduct phase-wise project reviews (Review 0–4) for APIs and formulations.
- Evaluate the feasibility of extending products into new markets.
- Understand and manage the complete product development roadmap, including pre-formulation, formulation development, optimization, scale-up, analytical development, licensing, regulatory requirements, clinical and BA/BE studies, commercial production, and product launches.
2. Site PDG Execution
- Plan and coordinate pilot, bioequivalence, exhibit, and scale-up batches with PPC and plant teams.
- Ensure the availability of plant documents and validation protocols.
- Oversee analytical validation, cleaning validation, and stability studies.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for timely testing, release, and dossier readiness.
- Address regulatory queries and ensure the closure of deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) issues.
- Provide costing inputs for new product launches and existing-year formulations.
Educational Qualification and Experience
Candidates must possess a B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or MBA qualification and have 3–8 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in pharmaceutical OSD project management involving tablets and capsules is mandatory.
