Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

1. Formulation Development: Develop pharmaceutical formulations using the Quality by Design (QbD) approach for ophthalmic, solid, semisolid, and liquid dosage forms.
2. Literature and Patent Research: Conduct literature searches on APIs, excipients, patents, and formulation technologies. Prepare patent landscape reports, API search reports, and other technical research documents.
3. Preformulation Studies: Perform preformulation studies, select suitable excipients, conduct compatibility studies, and interpret the results.
4. Product Characterization: Characterize innovator products and plan formulation strategies by assessing Quality Target Product Profile (QTPP) and Critical Quality Attributes (CQA).
5. Documentation and Data Analysis: Maintain laboratory notebooks (LNBs), raw data sheets, analytical reports, and technical documents. Compile and interpret experimental results.
6. Instrument Calibration: Perform daily, monthly, and yearly calibration activities for laboratory instruments, as applicable.
7. Formulation Trials and Stability Studies: Plan and execute preformulation studies, development laboratory trials, and stability batches. Optimize formulations and manufacturing processes using QbD and DoE-based approaches.
8. Compliance and Quality Practices: Maintain laboratory notebooks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
9. Technology Transfer: Prepare documents related to product development and technology transfer.
10. Regulatory Documentation: Assist in preparing relevant DCGI-related documents.
